Digraphe – showcase love with a wow effect!

A digraphe is an ultra-personalized decorative optical illusion that blends two words, for example two first names, in an original and surprising way. Stand in front of the digraphe. Shift slightly to the left and the digraphe will take the form of the first name; slightly to the right and it will take the form of the second name!

And yes, even with different numbers of letters! In this case, we use two or more letters from the longer first name to make one letter from the shorter first name. (see attached images)

Beyond "simple to double", we recommend the crystalline digraph which gives very balanced results even for very unbalanced first names!

The first thing we do when you send us an order is to create a 3D model of the entire digraph, to ensure that the optical illusion is perfect. This model is unique for each combination of first names. It is then prepared so that the different elements can be 3D printed. Our parts are made of PLA, which is a bio-sourced plastic material derived from corn starch. The letters are then assembled on a wooden base. Two options are available to you: the lightest wood, French ash, is crafted by a cabinetmaker and has a very beautiful finish. The padauk base is crafted in our workshop and offers red tones that brighten up the decor. A photo holder (metal rod with a spiral at the end to hold a photo) can be added upon request.

How is a Digraphe Made?

When you place an order, we begin by designing a 3D model to ensure the optical illusion works perfectly. Each model is unique to the specific combination of names. The elements are then prepared for 3D printing.

Our pieces are crafted from PLA, a bioplastic derived from corn starch. The letters are assembled onto a wooden base, with two options available:

1. Light Ash Wood: French ash wood, beautifully finished by a skilled cabinetmaker.
2. Padauk Wood: With red tones, crafted in our workshop for a vibrant decorative touch.

Additionally, a photo holder (a metal rod with a spiral tip for holding photos) can be added upon request.

The final product is carefully packaged for shipping, protected by cardboard supports and cushioning materials made from compostable, corn-starch-based materials.

Will It Work for Our Names?

Absolutely! Names or words of different lengths can be combined—find more details here.

We can also handle compound names, where the hyphen is subtly hidden behind another letter to maintain the optical illusion.

However, accents and cedillas are not supported. Names are rendered in uppercase letters without diacritics.
